The University of South Carolina and Clemson University have been rivals for a long, long time, but these days they are leaving it on the field or the court. When it comes to their roles, together with the Medical University of South Carolina, to be leading research institutions, they have started singing off the same sheet of music and people are starting to listen and like what they are hearing. Since the South Carolina Legislature created the 2002 Centers of Economic Excellence (CoEE) Program, these three research universities are working together to advance the knowledge economy in South Carolina and in the southeast region. The Presidents of USC, Clemson and MUSC jointly authored an editorial article regarding how the CoEE is working so well that the Washington Advisory Group is calling it the best of its kind in the nation. You can find the link to the report at the bottom of this press release.
