World Bank

While they might sound like they are only interested in traditional "banking" between or among countries, the World Bank is much more focused on the use of knowledge in the fight against global poverty.  Check out the link on their home page (you have to scroll down just a bit) to a report called "Using Knowledge to Improve Development Effectiveness" and learn more about how the World Bank is ratcheting-up its focus on knowledge and learning.
